The other day someone told me that she loves to read my blog and that it is in her favorites (which made me smile, of course :) She visits my blog several times a week she said to see if I updated. And then she uses the list of my regular visits in my right sidebar to go to all the other blogs she loves to read.... well, i guess that's one way to do it, but there is a much easier way to keep track of all the updated blogs.
It surprises me that so many people, who are bloggers themselves, still haven't heard about blog lines.
Blog lines registers which of your favorite blogs have been updated and how many new posts there are. You don't have to visit blogs that don't have anything new, so it gives you way more time to read way more blogs, hehe!
All you have to do is go to www.bloglines.com and sign up. It's free! Then you ad blog lines to your favorites. Every time you visit a new blog you like and would want to return to you click on the blog lines button in your favorites and subscribe to that specific blog. Now, when you go to your blog lines account you will see a list with all the blogs you subscribed to and you'll see that the names of the blogs that have been updated are bold and behind them, between brackets, you can see how many new posts there are.
Simple huh? It works with most common blogs .... and yes, you can subscribe to my blog too ;)
So, I hope I have made life a little easier for some of you, LOL!
I promised to show some more CmF LO's, so here we go:
"...and the whole world turned upside down" is my favorite in last issue. The picture of my 13 year old DD (I think she looks much older, I think she looks like a model, I think she's gorgeous, but hey, I'm her mom!!) was taken by Anita Mundt and I love it! The crochet heart was a gift and also made by Anita.
To make the background I first painted a circle using a pool paint dabber, then I put a paper doily on top and stamped on it with a pink paint dabber (hurray for paint dabbers! :) The gorgeous lace and velvet ribbon was bought in a little store at our trip to Amsterdam last year. Journaling says: Growing up is not always easy. Being a teenager sometimes makes you feel like the whole world is upside down and you're the only normal person out there.
The next one was for the "Boy versus girl" article. A LO about Lennart and Marlijn, brother and sister. Love these pictures I took of them during our vacation in France a couple of years ago! Journaling says:
Although there are a lot of differences between the 2 of you, let alone the fact that you're a boy and a girl, it is obvious that you are siblings. Especially on the outside you look a lot like each other. And it is wonderful to see that the 2 of you are so fond of each other. I surely hope it will always be this way!
Had to make a picture of the LO in the mag since I forgot to take decent pictures of it before sending it out! The little book is an old chipboard children's book, covered with paper and filled with all Lennarts so called favorite boys toys, like his soccer shoes, skates, PSP a.s.o. It's only about 10x10 cm (4"x4")
OK, enough for now, more later!
It's almost weekend, Marlijn has to attend a birthday party right after school, then we have to go to swimming lesson and after that another birthday for Marlijn, Lennart and me to go to. Then we will rush back home, have dinner and after that Lennart has a soccer game. Tomorrow Erik and Lennart both have a soccer tournament, Anne will be shopping in Groningen with a friend and Marlijn and I will probably do some scrapping (maybe in the garden?) since I have a deadline coming up real quick! Also will have to go out to buy some birthday presents for my BIL who's celebrating on Sunday and do the groceries, maybe buy some new summer clothes. So a fun and busy weekend lies ahead!
Hope you have a good one too! :)
