It's rainy and cold today, only 13*C. Feels like fall and I'm not ready for it yet!! Sigh, I wish I was back in warm and sunny France!
On the other hand this is exactly the right weather to stay inside and be creative! I'm in my scraproom now, printing some vacation pictures while my mind is spinning with idea on how to use them. I caught up on e-mails, cleaned the caravan, the washer is doing it's job, so I got my hands free :)
And to brighten up the day a bit I'm sharing this colorful canvas I created for the Tattered Angels blog last month. I called it "Summer Breeze". The theme was texture paste. And I happen to LOVE texture paste so I couldn't have been more happy!
I first covered the canvas with cardstock tags and then added texture paste. In the left upper corner I used a Crafters Workshop screen. To create the dots I used Punchanella. I added just a very thin layer of texture paste. If you go over it with your finger you can hardly feel it. The reason you still see the dots is because the color dries lighter on the texture paste then it does on the paper underneath. This way you can create a nice subtle look.
Colors used here: Olive Vine, Cross my heart, Marmalade, Candy Corn, Mallard, Deep Plum, Black Cherry, Dragonfly, Sun Sisters.
The faded flowers come from my garden and I covered them with Organic Garden Glam, to color them but also to keep them from falling apart.
The garden wire was first covered with gesso and then lightly sprayed with Dragonfly. I used a white pen to create the dots in the background.

Hoi Birgit,
Ik vind hem geweldig, heb je de texture paste gekleurd of is dat er in allerlei kleuren te krijgen?
Zelf heb ik witte en kleur dat wel met acrylverf.
