Hi and welcome to my blog!
The cards are quite simple but the technique used is so much fun and I LOVE the effect!
What do you need?
A Sizzix machine (Big Shot #655268), embossing folders (Beatnik Bouquet Set #657809 - Groovy Flower Set #657815), Wow Embossing Powder (Suzy West Presidio Purple regular, Suzy West Bay Area Blue regular and Suzy West Earthtone Paprika regular), Versamark, cardstock and a heat gun.
To create the background of these cards you cover the inside of a Sizzix embossing folder with Versamark. Just the front side. Make sure to cover only the upper parts and not the lower parts. Put cardstock in between the folder and emboss it in the machine. Then take it out, sprinkle the cardstock with embossing powder, tap off the excess powder and heat emboss.
If you like you can spray paint the embossed cardstock with Tattered Angels glimmer mist afterwards. The heat embossed parts create a resist and the paint will not stick there. Whip with a piece of kitchen paper after spraying.
And some close-ups of the cards:
The middle bottle was partly filled with embossing powder and then heated from the outside. I also added some embossing powder at the top and on the little flowers. The right bottle was filled with powder too, but not heated. To see which adhesive I used to put this all together you can check out my post on the Crafty Power Blog (Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L).
For this card I sprayed the cardstock after embossing.
Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial :)
Have a lovely day!
