Some Tattered Angels and some Prima

Arrgggg, my computer is driving me crazy!! At times I want to throw it out of the window. I decided to order a new one in stead. This is just not working anymore. No internet acces, no e-mail... and then suddenly... yeah, e-mail again... 50 e-mails at the same time... and then all stuck, only thing left to do is turn off the power and re-start. One more week and then, hopefully, this will all be in the past. For now I have to do with this one though and she is willing to cooparate with me at this very moment so let's do a blog post quickly, before she changes her mind!!

Today I want to share with you a little bird cage that I made for the Prima booth at CHA. I think it turned out really cute. One of those projects I'm really happy with!

The second project is a card I made for this month theme at Tattered Angels. Metal!

I embossed a metal sheet in my cuttlebug and sprayed it with Glimmer mist Bahama Blue. Let it air dry without dabbing the excess of because I love the pooled look. Then I slightly rubbed it with Grey Stazon ink and colored the word Bingo with Orange Crush Glimmer glaze.

The metal numbers were also painted with Orange Crush glaze as were the pearls. The orange Prima flower was sprayed with Sun Sisters glimmer mist.

Oh my... Canvas Corp!!

One of my new favorites I "found" at CHA is Canvas Corp!! Love, love, love the canvas and burlap products, the raw, natural feel of it. Also heart the kraft products. Tags, paper, cards, envelopes... And then I didn't even mention the ropes and cords, the pins and the cork and the clothespins...

Jenn was so sweet to give me a couple of items to play with at home and I new right away that I would use them to embellish the big wreath that is hanging over my fireplace. And here is the result, totally love how this turned out:

 
In stead of adhering pictures to the little canvasses I printed them on t-Shirt transfers and ironed them on. I really like how the canvas structure remains visible underneath the pictures.

 

 

The little canvas corp tags were all stamped with Inforcrea stamps and black Stazon. I think black and kraft is a perfect combination!! Dry brushed the strechted burlap with white acrylic paint before embellishing them. The black dotted paper and the cork from which the butterfly was punched are also Canvas Crop products! Flowers are all Prima except for the white ones on the canvasses, they were made from canvas fabric. The metal pieces are Tim Holz and the corrugated elements are Pink Paislee.

Love is in the air!

Happy Valentine's day to all of you! May this day be filled with love!

Today I want to share with you a piece of jewelry I made using an old "silver" heart and Tattered Angels products.

The heart didn't look so nice any more, it was scratched and the color turned a little yellowish, so it was in my drawer and not being used anymore. No this month theme at the Tattered Angels blog happens to be metal so I decided to give it a try and give this heart a new life :)

 

First I painted it with 2 layers of Orange Crush glimmer glaze. Just before it was completly dry I sprinkeld some copper embossing powder on it and heat embossed it. On top of that a little Mermaid glam (blue) and finally some white rubons (Basic Grey and Hambly). I love how this turned out!

This morning we spotted a sparrow-hawk on Lennart's aviary. Not a very welcome guest but before chasing him away I had to take a picture. Such an amazing creature, he looks so strong!

Altered hanger (Tattered Angels wood)

Due to family circumstances I was not able to post on my date on the Tattered Angels blog last month. I did finish my projects though and thought I'd share them with you after all!

This is the first one. A wooden clothes hanger that I turned into a jewelry/scarf hanger. I did sandpaper the hanger first because it was varnished and if you leave it that way the glimmer mist will not equaly hold.

 

 

I first stamped on the hanger using the Timeless Romance Clear Stamp set and heat embossed it with white powder. Then I sprayed the hanger with Glimmer Mist (Dragonfly, Pomegranate and Apple) Used the same colors for the flower and Dragonfly for the Chipboard bird.
 
Don't you think this would make a nice (Christmas) gift for a special person?!

Travel journal

Ohhhh, looks like the weather is finally on our side!! Summer has started, yeah! To get in the mood for vacation Marlijn and I made a travel journal together. I bought a white A5 binder and let Marlijn draw a picture about vacation on it. Then we added some embellishments and colored it with alcohol ink. Inside are envelopes to collect cards, tickets etc., page protectors and drawing paper. I think it turned out really cute!

Prima key hanger (Buzz workshop)

Jillibean birdhouse

This is the project that I submitted for the Jillibean DT (together with 2 LO's). A little birdhouse. Don't you just love bird houses? I think they're cute! :)
