Today Marlijn and I decided to bake some Christmas Cookies. Marlijn did everything herself. OK, helped her a little with the dough, but most of it she did :) They are sooo easy to make and so yummy!!
Don't they look delicious??
And here's the recipe:
With these ingredients you can make about 50 pieces
• 200 gr. flower
• 120 gr. butter or margarine
• 100 gr. caster sugar
• 1 egg
• Pinch of salt
• 50 gr. sugar candy
• sliced almonds.
• baking paper
Method
Sift the flour and caster sugar in a bowl.
Cut the butter with two knives into small cubes and add it.
Also add half the egg and a pinch of salt. Knead into a nice dough. Sprinkle some flour on a table and roll this dough out to about a centimeter thick. Punch out the shapes and lay them on the baking sheet. This griddle is now well provided with baking paper. Brush the shapes with the rest of the egg and cover them with sugar candy or sliced almonds. Put the shapes on the plate not too close together, because they "grow" during baking a little. Bake the wreaths to the center of the oven at 150 degrees until tender and lightly browned. This takes about 20 minutes.
Then let them cool down on the counter and enjoy!!
