Last week it was Kunst & Co. (Art & Co.) week at my daughters secondary school.
In this week students get to choose 3 workshops from a list with things like painting, street art, graffiti, photography, sand sculpturing, grime and hair dressing, jewelry making, baking, cooking, hammersmith, making a horror movie, photoshop, web design, salsa dancing, hip hip, ballroom dancing, kick boxing, singer-songwriter, dj-ing (is that a word?? :)), horse back riding, breakdance, karate, fashion, survival bootcamp, computer programming, African dance and news (making a news paper and do a talk show).
Marlijn choose hors back riding (what else?), painting and graffiti. For 3 days they got 1,5 hour a day for each workshop and on Thursday evening there was an end presentation for the parents. The whole school was turned into a museum and podium. We could see all the projects that were made, see performances, watch videos and listen to music.
I loved it! Amazing how creative 12-17 year old kids can be!
Here's a little impression:
How cool is this? Wish we would have had projects like that when I was in school!!
