Welcome to Nathalie Kalbach's (N*Studio) & Stencil Girl Blog Hop!
As you might know my awesome friend Nathalie has recently designed several beautiful stencils for Stencil Girl Products.
I feel honored that she asked me (thank you so much Nathalie!), together with some amazingly talented people, to try out her Circuit Stencil and participate in this Blog Hop! The other artists participating are Stephanie Schütze, Marjie Kemper, Samie Harding and of course Nathalie herself!
And here is the stencil that this Blog Hop is all about, the Circuit Stencil:
And here is what I did with it. I created an art journal page called "Linked by Love".
I first created the background using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Glaze and some stamps. Then, before adding all the details I used the stencil. I think you could say I used the stencil in the most simple way. Of course it works perfect with (spray) paints and things like gesso, modeling past and so on. But I decided to use it as we used the letter stencils back in school and just take a pen and draw in the open spaces. I think it worked out pretty well, the black really pops on the colored background. And... as you can see... if you like stencils but don't have that much paints and stuff... you can always start with a simple black pen :)
