Yesterday I had the house to myself. My family was out, doing all their own important stuff and being home alone I thought it was a great day for some "me time".
I have been struggling with an art journaling format and size. Tried several art journals but always hated the fact that the backside of the paper sometimes got messy. If this is a new page it's not a big problem, you can just paint over it, but if it's a finished page it's no fun at all.
So now I've decided to try a regualr A4 binder and work on loose sheets of paper. It's not the nicest solution to put art journal pages in page protectors but at least they stay nice and clean!
I made 3 pages yesterday and this is the first one. Used on here: gesso, ecoline (water colour ink), acrylic paint, Cocoa Daisy Black Ink, stamps, bookpaper, a black Artist Sketching Pen and a white Sharpie.
I love the combination of ecoline and acrylic paint. Water colour effect and brush strokes, great texture!
And the colours are amazing! Love how this turned out :)
More to come later this week. Thanks for stopping by and make sure to come back in a couple of days!
Have a great week!
