As you might have seen in my blog post about Paper World I took quite some stuff home from there to try and test.
Today I want to share with you my experiences with the Hardi Craft FlexiCover non-stick craft sheet, available in 4 sizes up to 60-80cm.
All craft sheets are the same - I hear you say… But I found out that is not true.
So what makes this craft sheet special?
It has a silicone back! It is so thin that you can still roll up the sheet as any other but because of the silicone the sheet does not move on your table. It stays completely flat (so no dog-ears) and in it's place even when cleaning it or when using a brayer or an old bank card and moving that around on top of the sheet. Therefor you're also less likely to create creases in the sheet. What a benefit!
But, that said, is the craft sheet in other ways just as good as any other craft sheet?
I tried 15 different product on there and let it dry overnight before I cleaned the sheet.
Gesso, permanent marker, Stazon, modeling paste, heated embossing powder (the sheet is heat resistant p to 260*C), gloss gel medium, fluid adhesive, permanent double sided adhesive, indian ink, acrylic paint, acrylic spray paint, glass beads gel mixed with charcoal and 3D fabric paint.
It was a piece of cake to clean the sheet. First I took an old gift card and scraped all the mediums off. That took the biggest part down already. Then I took a baby wipe to clean up the left over inks which came off easy too. All of this was done in less than a minute and the craft sheet did not move or fold at all.
So, I think this craft sheet deserves an A+!
