Hi everyone! Welcome to another Crew Member Wednesday. Today we have Linda sharing a beautiful birthday card filled with awesome texture and layers! How wonderful would it be to get such a beautiful card in the mail on your birthday?!

Hello !

Inspired by all the flowers in the gardens around where I live I made this card. It is made for a dear friend who is over average excited when it comes to flowers, especially in her own garden. I’ve used some of Carabelle Studio fantastic flower and leaf stamps, designed by Birgit. I’m using various embossing mediums and also playing with some cool pigments.

Crew Member Wednesday With Hermien

Hello! It's Crew member Wednesday!! 

Today Hermien is here with a lovely home decor project. How fun to have tea from such a nice, personalised tray!!

This time I stamped on a tray I bought for our new home. It was a bargain and after a while it was clear why: the bottom of the tray wasn't painted, it was a piece of paper. Spilled coffee/tea are not best friends ☺

But paper and stamps..hmmm!

I liked the distressed look, so I decided to make something in the same colors hoping to keep this distressed look.

So I randomly applied some gesso and then I  grabbed those pretty leaves masks and my bottle chalky gray paint.

And of course I used some of Birgit's stamps. I lightly stamped the images trying to keep it all a little distressed.

I finished the tray by adding two layers of gel medium hoping this will keep it all water (tea-coffee) proof!

Crew Member Wednesday With Karin

Hello! Welcome to Crew Member Wednesday. Today it's Karin's turn and she made a clean and simple yet eye catching colourful project using Ecoline markers. She is thinking about framing it and I think she definitely should!

Hello, it's Karin here!

Today it's my turn to make something for the Crew Member Wednesday and I made something clean & simple and I had fun creating it!

I started on a piece of cardboard (30x 40 cm or 11,81 x 15,75 inch) and I used one of Birgits stamps on it. I loved the kind of Mandala shaped patern which emerged.

I gave the peacock feathers some color with ecoline markers and that was it. I think I'm going to frame this creation.

Crew Member Wednesday With Karen

Hi there! It's Crew Member Wednesday again!! Today Karen is sharing a fun and easy technique that let's you spice up a simple notebook in no time! Wouldn't this make a lovely little gift?!!

Hi everyone! It’s time for another Crew Member Wednesday and for this project I wanted to keep it super simple, something that can be very easily recreated!

I was in need of a new notebook to pop into my bag so I can sketch on the go or jot down notes and inspiration wherever I go. As this was a notebook that was going to be living mostly in my bag I knew it needed to be simple in decoration as it was going to get some abuse! 

I’d been dying to try out the Wow bonding powder with the foil sheets so I decided this would be the perfect project for that!

I took my notebook and the scribbled feathers stamp and stamped the feathers with my versamark ink pad. You can use any pigment based ink pad for this but as the versamark is designed for embossing powders I stuck with this.

There are a few methods to using the powder and the foil but I went with the easiest one, melting the bonding powder and whilst it was still hot I rubbed the foil onto it. You need to press quite firmly and I just used the back of my nail to make sure I got all the little bits.

I added another feather, the opposite way around, and went with a dark blue foil this time. The dark blue definitley shows up more that the pale blue and it did seem to transfer better. I still like the imperfect texture of the lighter blue though.

I’m delighted with my little notebook! It’s the perfect mix of practical and decorative. The foil decoration isn’t going to come off or become damaged like a stuck on embellishment would and the foiling was a lot easier than I thought to do!

Crew Member Saturday With Andrea

It's Crew Member Saturday and I can't believe that we are already in June and having our 6th guest designer post of the year! 

Today we have Andrea who created some awesome notebooks in bright colors. I love the way she collaged these together!

Hi Andrea here!

I am addicted to notebooks and decided to embellish these beauties with some fabulous images that I stamped, colored and cut into strips.

I started by cutting Strathmore Mixed Media paper to the same size as my store-bought notebooks.  I painted the paper with acrylic paint.

On separate pieces of paper, I stamped some images with Ranger Black Archival ink and colored them in with oil crayons and watercolors.

Once my stamped images were colored, I had a lot of fun cutting them into strips and pieces and gluing them onto my notebook covers.  I then sewed the covers onto my notebooks with a sewing machine.

I used a positive sentiment from the Leafs stamp Andset to add onto one of the covers for a nice final touch.

It was also very therapeutic to spend some time coloring!

All in all, you can never go wrong with these stamped images or a pair of nifty re-done notebooks!
