Crew Member Wednesday With Karin

Hello! It's crew member Wednesday and today we have Karin with a set of gorgeous tags! Love, love, love the colors!!

I got inspired by the beautiful colors of nature and the falling leafs and therefore I decided to create something with one of Birgit's gorgeous leaf stamps!

I started with a gelprint out of my stash and cut it into two tags.

Then I stamped them with the "leaf" stamp.

The next thing I did was stamping the "leaf" on a sheet of paper and I colored them with ecoline markers.

I cut them out and glued them on the already stamped images on the tags.

And as a final touch I added some splashes of gold ecoline.

Crew Member Wednesday With Hermien

Hello! It's Crew member Wednesday again!! 

Today Hermien is here with another set of beautiful cards! She made these while she was dealing with a broken hip, can you imagine?!

So leave her some love people :)

Hi, its Hermien again with some flowery cards. I had plans to make a small book but unfortunately I broke my hip and was not able to climb stairs (my hobby/happy space is still upstairs, next month I hope to move down stairs!) so maybe next month!

Decided to stay in the circle mood, but this time a little bigger, I used my round gelli plate to color the background, embossed the flower stamps and added some extra color, my camera was not able (or its me?) to catch the fluor orange, so it's really much brighter than on the pics..! I distressed  the edges and used a white marker to scribble some text.

Crew Member Wednesday With Linda

Hi everyone! Welcome to another Crew Member Wednesday. Linda is here today sharing how she created some beautiful wrapping paper using and old brown bag and her Gelli Arts® gel printing plate! Now who wouldn't love to get such a beautiful package in the mail?!!

Hello !

There is nothing like receiving and giving happy mail, don’t you agree? And if the parcel or letter I receive is decorated it really makes my day. I love it when a creative friend put some extra effort in decorating the letter or parcel. This time it is my turn to return this gesture.  A dear friend of mine had her birthday late June and I managed to get this parcel on its way in time for her day.

Here is the video on how a made the wrapping paper. The paper I’m using is a recycled heavy duty paper bag.

Crew Member Wednesday With Linda

Hi everyone! It's Crew Member Wednesday and we have Linda today sharing a very cool art journal spread in which she included a photograph of herself. I love how this turned out and as always Linda rocks the black and white with a little bit of color!

Hello !

Today I want to show you a personal and very intuitive made art journal page. I started to prep the page with white gesso, due to the thin paper in the book. I could also have made a background collage to make the page sturdier, but this time I went for only a layer of white gesso. Before I started I took out a few stamps and masks to choose from. I also decided to only use black and white paint and ink, but changed my mind along the way and added some colored ink and ephemera.

Workshop Gel Printing In Mijn Studio - 22/23 Juni

Op vrijdag 22 en zaterdag 23 juni a.s. geef ik in mijn studio in Winsum (Gn.) een workshop gel printing technieken.

Tijdens deze workshop gaan we in een klein groepje (max. 9 deelnemers) aan de slag met een aantal technieken met misschien niet zo voor de hand liggende producten zoals stempelinkt, water-oplosbare krijtjes, oliekrijtjes en alcoholinkt. Ook leer je alle ins-and-outs van het transfer printen met tijdschriften en boeken en werk je met de nieuwste stencils en art printing plates van Carabelle Studio.

Je print op labels van 8x16cm waar je aan het eind van de dag een leuk tag albumpje van maakt.

Plaats: Winsum (Gn.)

Tijd: 10.00-17.00 uur

Prijs: € 72,50 inclusief alle materialen, koffie, thee, snacks en lunch.

Wat neem je mee? Helemaal niks! In mijn studio zijn alle materialen aanwezig die je nodig hebt :)

Crew Member Wednesday With Karin

Hello! Welcome to Crew Member Wednesday. Today it's Karin's turn and she made 3 lovely cards using an Art Printing Plate and the Gelli Arts® gel printing plate. I think they are totally cool and yes, life is pretty awesome!!

Hi, it's Karin here, showing you how I created these fun cards :)

 

I used the Gelli Arts® gel printing plate and one of Birgit’s Art Printing Plate designs.

I used different colors of paint on the gel plate.

I drew a figure on a piece of paper and used it as a mask. I placed it on a phone book page, drew aroud it, cut it out and and glued it on the cards.

I also made some marks on the cards with a white pen and some glitter markers.

What a great way to keep track of all those important dates and festivities. Just looking at it is a little celebration :)

Hi, it's Karin here!

A few weeks ago I threw away my old birthday calender and therefore I decided to make a new one.

I made a couple of gel prints and used a lot off different stamps and stencils on them. 

I cut them into the right sizes and colored some of the stamped images with acrylic paint markers.

And at last I taped the  already printed  months on the gel prints and I clipped them on the clipboard and there it was…my new birthday calender!

Hi, it's Karin here!

Because I’m participating in the #31daysofgelprinting by Birgit Koopsen on Instagram, I have already a huge pile of gelliprints.  Therefore I decided to use one of these as a background for the cards I wanted to make. I stamped the tulips and the large flower on other prints, cut them out and glued them on the backgrounds. Finally I applied the cards on black cardstock.

The end result is two Clean & Simple cards.

Hello Artists and welcome to another Crew Member Wednesday with me, Karen! I’m using my Gelli Plate today which I thought was very appropriate this month given Birgit’s great gelli print challenge that’s going on right now! I created these gelli prints on sticker paper and then stamped and cut out my own mixed media stickers, all ready to go into my own collage stash.

I’m working with Birgit's “Life is pretty awesome” stamp set and I even snuck in a Scribbled Feather too! As I was printing it gave me the perfect opportunity to work with her texture plate on the gelli plate, it really made the layers in my printing pop.
