When I was uploading one of my Flipagrams to You Tube I came across a video tutorial I made about a year ago for the Scrap 365 blog and I thought it would be fun to show it here.
It's a tutorial on how to make colorful book marks using Wow! Embossing Powders and spray paints. But the techniques can very well be used in making cards, art journals, scrapbook pages etc.
I hope this inspires you to get your embossing powders out and play!
Today I'm giving you a peek inside my studio on the Scrap 365 blog.
Here's a little sneak peek:

After a wonderful, sunny, relaxing vacation in Greece I think it is time to pick this up and start fresh with blogging on a regular basis again. With regular I don't mean on a daily basis because I know I simply can't keep up with that. But on a weekly basis should be possible, maybe twice a week :)
So today I want to start with sharing some projects that have been published in Histoires de Pages and Scrap 365.
The first layout "Letting go..." was published in HdP. I created it when my sweet daugther was about to leave to Hawaii to live and study there for 6 months. The title comes from the song "let her go" from Passenger. Under the tag is some hidden journaling saying:
"Saying goodbye, now Anne is leaving for Hawaii for 6 months, is not easy! I will miss her so much! But I want her to make her dreams come true because I love her... so I let her go... I hope she will have the best time of her life!
Afterwards we realized that those 6 months went quicker than we expected. And Hawaii is not even that far away if you have Whatsapp and Facetime. Besides that I visited her after about 2,5 months, which made it better too. And she definitely did have the best time of her life! But is was sooo good to have her back home :D
The next layout "2 peas in a pod" was also made for Histoires de Pages. It was for an article about the impact color has. I made 2 exact the same layouts with different color schemes. I had to pick 2 colors + black and white. This is the first one using orange and green for a fresh and sunny spring feel. I will show the other one some other time.
Did you know that Histoires de Pages had an international english online version (Let's Talk Layouts) available? Check it out and read the first 25 pages of issue #2 for free here! Also check out the HdP FB page and blog!
The last project is a mini album I made for a recycle article in Scrap 365. For this mini I only used clothing tags and other items that can be collected from old cloths, like buttons, safety pins, straps and ribbon and so on. The only other items I used were a couple of wood veneer shapes, letter stickers (but most of the text was already on the tags and fitted the project perfectly). to create the little pocket I cut 2 pockets from an old pair of jeans and sewed them together, right sides facing each other and then turned it inside out.
This project was in the April/May issue which you can still buy online here where you can also find all the other previous issues.
I created this layout for the "Viewpoint" article in the Dec./Jan. issue of the UK magazine Scrap 365 (For scrappers who do it every day!). Guess what.... the article was about journaling :)
I you missed this issue or any previous issues, all loaded with scrapbooking inspration you can purchase them here! Or why not get a subscription and never miss out again?
Today I'm sharing a layout that I created for Scrap 365's Inspiration Station in the aug./sept. issue. The article was about different techniques with glue. I used 6 different techniques in 3 layouts and this is one of them. If you missed this issue you can buy it here!
I took the photo on the layout when I was visiting my daughter Anne while she was studying english in Hawaii for almost 6 months. It was an amazing trip and just like Anne I fell in love with Ohau, Honolulu, Waikiki, North Shore and of course Hanauma Bay.
This day we had planned to go snorkling at Hanauma Bay so we took the bus down there. When we arrived it had started to rain and we were a little sad and disappointed. It was not exactly the right weather for a day at the beach. nne told me that the bay was so much more beautiful when the sun was shining! But since we were there and we had already paid we decided to go for a short swim anyway. Since the early 1990s, visits to the Hanauma Bay area have been limited to tourists. The resident Hawaiians are attempting to preserve the area for future generations. Therefor you have to pay an entrence fee and watch a video about life in the bay before you are allowed to go in.
Wow, were we happy we went after all! What an amazing experience this was! There is so much wildlife in the bay! We got to see an enourmos variety of fish in all colors of the rainbow. About 400 species of fish are known to inhabit the bay and if you're lucky you get to see a green sea turtle.
We just couldn't get out of the water, took loads of pictures and videos and even got to see the humuhumunukunukuapoa'a. We were all excited and cheerful when we left. A few days later I had the chance to see the bay in full sunny glory when we went there for another day with some of Anne's friends. Definitelly one of my favorite places of Ohau!
Check back later for the other 2 layouts!
Thank you for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!
Today I want to share with you a layout that was published in the June/July issue of Scrap 365.
The photo was taken during a workshop weekend in Finland last year. Marsha and I dicovered liquorice ice cream which brought me back to my childhood when we used to go camping in Sweden. Our favorite ice cream was liquorice, which was not available in the Netherlands. You'll understand that I could not resist to have some finding this 30 years later :)
I used a gelli print plate to create the banner on the background.
